Did you enjoy our last post, which sang the virtues of fall flavors? Well, we’re back with a recipe you can try for yourself this autumn. We recommend that restaurants/retailers offer this medley as a side dish special or package it for grab-and-go prepared foods. Highlight the use of organic and sustainable local produce to catch your customers’ attention!
Ingredients (serves 4):
- 2 medium organic turnips, peeled and cubed
- 1 small organic butternut squash, peeled and cubed
- 2 organic carrots, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp cinnamon
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Toss turnips, squash, and carrots with olive oil, smoked paprika, cinnamon, salt, and pepper.
- Spread on a baking sheet and roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway, until tender and caramelized.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
