Hi, friends! If you’ve been following along on social media lately, you probably know that we had a booth at the 2019 NYC Healthy Food Expo. The event was held at the Javits Center in early and was co-located with Coffee Fest and the International Restaurant and Foodservice Show.
There were over 550 vendors in attendance and tons of special events, including culinary demonstrations and competitions. Overall, it was an enlightening, caffeinated, and food-centric three days!
We stocked our booth with organic produce, Bob’s Red Mill products, jars of legumes and grains, a healthy tuft of wheatgrass, and much more. It turned out that we were the only organic vegan vendor in the health section.
We spent our time prowling the aisles, chatting with attendees, and seeing what other vendors were cooking up. We were excited to try vegan lox (the texture was amazingly similar to actual fish) and witness a sushi-making machine in action!
A few days later, we sent our trusty head of procurement, Kathy Lavigne, out to Anaheim, California to explore Expo West. As long-time attendees of Expo West, we love that the show boasts four full days of immersion in the health food world—including opportunities to learn about climate change (and how your company can be more eco-friendly), early morning yoga and meditation classes, panels on the future of organics, and much more! Next up: Catch us at the New Jersey Restaurant & Hospitality Expo on April 17th and 18th. This is their inaugural year and we are excited to be exhibiting there as part of our newly expanded service into New Jersey for 2019! Please come visit us at Booth #601-603.
